A Convergence of the Arts and Sciences for the Environment

On 3 December 2012 research students from the School will be visiting the students of Environmental Change and Management in Oxford. They will be presenting their research and giving demonstrations of traditional techniques in order to encourage consideration of the value of the knowledge, wisdom and practical skills underlying the design and production of traditional arts and crafts. Following the presentations, the students will join together in break-out groups in order to discuss ways in which this knowledge can be brought into the debate around climate change and environmental policy, and the means through which these values can be promoted in the contemporary world.

It is envisioned that a follow-up session will be arranged at The Prince's School in the summer term in order for the discussion to continue.
