Exhibition at the School 18th to 29th March

Clare Newbolt will hold an exhibition of her work entitled "Paintings and Drawings - 2006 to 2012" in the School's gallery from 18th to 29th March.

Clare is a painter and a teacher of drawing and painting who exhibited extensively before undertaking doctoral studies at the School which she completed in 2012. She says, "my time spent researching at The Prince's School of Traditional Arts gradually allowed me to 'see' more clearly and to understand on a profound level the timeless function of painting and drawing. I came to realise that the symbolic language used by traditional artists and craftsmen is exquisitely enmeshed in the image, and apparent for those who seek the truth. It's a journey that takes the participant from the profane world across a bridge to the sacred; from chaos to order."

Clare now teaches on the School's Open Programme, and also teaches at The Prince's Drawing School.

The exhibition is open to the public from 9am to 8.30pm weekdays and 9.30am to 4.00pm on Saturdays.
