Prince of Wales visits Degree Show

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited his School's annual Degree Show on 9th July 2014.

The Prince of Wales toured the exhibition and met with all graduating MA students and our two exchange students from Brunei. The students were thrilled to meet HRH and to present their work to him.

HRH gave a moving speech in which he paid tribute to the School's founder, Professor Keith Critchlow, who stepped down from his position as Director of Research this year. HRH said,

"It has been a very impressive year and there's an enormous amount to celebrate...for those of you whose work is on display today, I need hardly remind you that this year's Degree Show marks a vitally important moment in your artistic development. It is a celebration of all that you have learnt and all that you have achieved during your time at the School." Read The Prince of Wales's full speech.

HRH presented the Ciclitira Prize to Jethro Buck, and he awarded the Barakat Trust Prize for Islamic art to Natasha Mann (pictured) for her zouak ceiling.
