Masters Graduate to Exhibit at START Art Fair 2017

The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts is proud to announce that START ART FAIR 2017 has selected work by YUNFENG CONG for exhibition.

Yunfeng Cong is the latest alumnus from The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts to have his work selected for this prestigious fair that features new artists from all over the world, now in its fourth year. Yunfeng was The Prince’s School’s Ciclitira prize-winner when he graduated with his MA degree in 2016.

Based in Beijing, Yunfeng Cong paints landscapes on silk and rice paper, shifting boundaries between traditional Chinese painting and contemporary art. He creates new connections between computing technology, Yin and Yang, heaven and earth. While his binary zeros and ones, hand-drawn in ink, materialize scenes they also indicate their virtual, de-materialized existence, prompting reflection on the relationship between technology and art.

START ART FAIR takes place from 14 – 17 September 2017 at the Saatchi Gallery, Duke of York's HQ, King's Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 4RY.
