About

Learning and improving drawing skills, so essential for miniature painting, will be the focus of this course. Starting with simple drawing exercises and then moving to the human figure as the main subject, students will learn the proportions of body and face in the Indian miniature tradition and how they differ from Western representations. The goal is to encourage freehand drawing and to learn the stylisation of human figures and facial types in Pahari painting and other Indian miniature styles.
